Does anyone know an Amphicar owner?

Firstly, thanks to everyone who helped me track down Jeep Grand Wagoneer owners for my article. Special thanks to our own 505Turbeaux for an interview. Some of you might remember the video about the crazy 'Ghiaru' that GenuineAlexReid and I made a while ago for Driving.ca. Well today I'm trying to find the owner of an Amphicar so I that I can make a video with that same sort of style.

I'm reaching out to you if anyone here knows anyone that has a seaworthy Amphicar. I'd like to feature an owner and their car/boat as part of a feature article and video. Any leads?

I almost bought one in that color. Just sitting on the street at the lake with a for sale sign on it like it was a couch. Decided I would rather have the money

I don't know anybody that has one, but I've seen a houseboat here in Paris that keeps one on davits at the stern of the boat. Badass.

A buddy in GA has (or at least had) one, but last I heard he was having problems getting it seaworthy. I think the rust monster had taken a big bite out of it.

I spotted one for sale just yesterday. It's a garage, so I doubt they'll be much help. Here's a link to the (Dutch!) ad .

I found that seller because he also offers an interesting E30 325i Touring and is quit close to me.
